So during this season's episodes of Vikings I've been seeing ads for a
new show coming called "Six", which is supposed to be about Seal Team
Six. I'm sure it will be a fictionalized show with some stuff rooted in
fact (it's a drama on the History channel and that seems to be their
formula). It looks like Walton Goggins (Shane from The Shield) is going
to be one of the main characters. Looks good! I'm looking forward to it.

That's something I will give a try. I'm currently watching USA network's
Shooter based on the movie of the same name and the series of books. It's a
bit up and down but not bad at all if you like that sort of thing. I'm just
hoping they don't keep the initial plot going on and on. They have 7
different books to base seasons on.

Seven books that get more outrageous as they go along. Before it's all
over Swagger learns about super weirdness related to the deaths of both
his father (an Arkansas State Trooper) and his spotter from his Marine
sniper days (his current girlfriend/wife's husband), and encounters with
a samurai swordsman, a former NASCAR driver turned hitman, and a sniper
who murders thinly veiled fictional versions of Obama pals Bill Ayers
and Bernadine Dorn, actress and activist Jane Fonda and a couple of
other celebs. I enjoy Stephen Hunter's writing for the most part, but
say his imagination is a bit off the chain is an understatement.

An article I found while looking up Walt Goggins and Six. I like him too
and the article was cool till they had to bring up politics. Then you
realize he's become the typical Hollywood Lib.

haha. I still like his work but this is why I don't care to know personal
details about celebrities. Why they feel a need to even bring up shit
like that is beyond me. It's like the interviewers and the actors are all
nodding their heads in unison like lemmings.

Thing is, I'm perfectly OK with people having a different opinion from
mine. They are welcome to them. However, they are also welcome to keep
them to themselves. When I go to the store I don't solicit the political
philosophy of the person stocking the shelves or checking out my items.
I just want them to do what they're getting paid to do. Likewise with
the Hollyweird types: you are paid very, very well to entertain me:
don't fuck it up by inserting your personal beliefs into the mix. You
and your pals can talk about it among yourselves in the echo chamber you
all live in where everyone apparently agrees with each other and walk
away feeling good about yourselves for supporting the same "causes".
When an interviewer asks you about it tell them that you're there to
discuss your new show/movie/CD/etc. But I guess that won't ever work
because they would lose the chance to feel like they "matter", which
when you spend your life pretending to be fictitious characters is
apparently a big deal in one's self esteem. They should have a real job
where they can KNOW they're insignificant and not have to wonder.

Well said! What a bunch of sheeple, so taken with themselves. Put down the kool aid, assholes.

So during this season's episodes of Vikings I've been seeing ads for a

fact (it's a drama on the History channel and that seems to be their

to be one of the main characters. Looks good! I'm looking forward to it.
Has anyone watched this yet? I missed that it was on Wednesday but I see
that it's On Demand, so I'll probably watch it over the weekend.

So I'm current on this show and it's good. I think there's been 3
episodes? There's some flashbacks to earlier times in this Seal team's
career, there's stuff in the present with the team, and then there's the
stuff with Rip (Walton Goggins' character) in Africa. I'm really liking it.

They also had a teaser commercial for a new series on History. It's not
due until the fall but it's supposed to be about the Knights Templar.
I'm looking forward to it. History Channel has been doing some really
good shows lately. I love Vikings and I enjoyed that one about the guy
infiltrating the biker gang was good too.
